What the Helix diagnostic report shows.

This is the skill-by-skill report the optional Helix diagnostic produces, made from a sample student’s answers, not a real child’s. Families with a MAP® score don’t need it to begin: entering the score is enough to start practice.

With a MAP® math score

Helix uses the score to estimate where practice begins. Your child’s own work then adds evidence, skill by skill, from the first session. No diagnostic is needed, and there is no report like this one on day one.

With the optional Helix diagnostic

About 30–40 minutes at home, saved between sittings. When it’s finished, you get a skill-by-skill report like the one below, and practice starts from it. It’s included, with or without a MAP score.

Begin with the broad picture.

In this sample, the overall score looks solid, but number sense is well behind the other three areas. That difference is where the overall result stops telling the full story.

The Helix Growth Score is a Helix result. It is not a MAP RIT® score and should not be treated as numerically equivalent to one.

This is where a broad result becomes useful. You can see where the student’s understanding is established, where it becomes less consistent, and which skills should receive attention first.

Where practice begins

From the report to daily practice.

A report can identify the priorities. Practice is what helps your child strengthen them. After the diagnostic, Helix creates a daily practice path based on the skill map. A session takes about 10–20 minutes and mixes the skills your child is working on now, a little review, and new material when your child is ready.

Ori, the built-in AI math coach, is available on every problem to provide focused guidance without revealing the answer. The parent view then shows what your child has practiced, what is progressing, and what still needs attention.

Practice placed from your child’s MAP score, the optional diagnostic and report, Ori, and the parent progress view are included in the Helix Program.
