A focused diagnostic, not a short quiz.

Your child begins with a 30–40 minute adaptive diagnostic completed at home. The diagnostic selects questions based on their responses and looks at patterns across multiple skills. Its purpose is not simply to count correct answers. It is designed to identify where understanding appears secure, where it is developing, and where review would be useful.

Two students can earn similar broad scores and still need very different practice. One may be comfortable with number operations but need more work with geometry. Another may understand procedures but have difficulty applying them in word problems. A single number averages those differences together.

The right skills, in a useful order.

Helix turns the diagnostic results into a personalized practice path. Each session takes approximately 10–20 minutes and combines:

Guidance that supports the thinking.

Ori, the built-in AI math coach, is available on every problem. When your child is stuck, Ori asks a focused question or gives a useful hint. It helps them identify a possible next step without revealing the answer or completing the problem for them.

Know what your child is working on without becoming the homework police.

You do not have to select lessons, grade work, or decode a complicated data report. Helix keeps the important information visible and the next step clear.

The Helix Growth Score is a Helix result. It is not a MAP RIT score and should not be treated as numerically equivalent to one. On the rare session with too little evidence for a reliable score — mostly unanswered questions, for example — the report says so and includes a free retake instead of printing a number the answers cannot support.
